The Family Crisis Center of the Big Bend, Inc. is organized for the purpose of strengthening communities by empowering individuals.
The Center is organized for charitable purposes: 1. The elimination of family violence through public education and advocacy for survivors of violence; and 2. Crisis intervention services for survivors of crime. We have three locations: one in Alpine, one in Terlingua and one in Presidio. We also operate a thrift store in Alpine – funds from this are used for the support of all Crisis Center operations.
The Family Crisis Center of the Big Bend (FCCBB) seeks an Executive Director. The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with a demonstrated history of responsibility and accomplishment possessing a strong commitment to seeing survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence through effective programming and services. A bachelor’s degree in social work, women’s or ethnic studies, psychology, public administration, business administration or other relevant field is a preferred but not required credential. Five years of managerial experience in human services, public administration or business with a demonstrated record of accomplishment are required of applicants. A master’s degree and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
